L.B. Namier papers, 1910-1960 (inclusive).

The papers consist of Namier's typed draft of chapter one of the unfinished second volume of Namier's England in the age of the American Revolution, with his corrections in his hand, the only portion known to have survived. An additional nine items include the certificates and letters relating to the naturalization of Namier and his wife Iulia De Beausobre; two deed polls declaring change of name for Namier, dated 1910 and 1913; a letter from Friern Hospital reporting the death of Marie Beer and the official notice of her death; a copy of Namier's death certificate; and a typed copy of a letter from Namier to Josiah Wedgwood dated 19 June 1929 concerning the History of Parliament, with corrections in Namier's hand.
